The Investors in People Standard is a business improvement tool that helps organisations to compete and succeed through improved people performance. To achieve business objectives and compete successfully you need people with the knowledge, skills and flexibility to do what your organisation needs them to do.
Investors in People is about bottom-line business results. It’s not about unnecessary processes, activities or paper - it’s about what you need to do to maximise the impact of your people on your business.

What’s more, change made over the last three years by Investors in People recognised organisations has increased profit by 8%. Put another way, accredited Scottish Investors in People businesses achieved improved profits of £1,105 per employee per year and £565 of this can be attributed to the Standard.
