Annual Review

What is it?

Annual Review enables an organisation and an Assessor to meet every twelve months to review progress against the Standard and to identify any additional areas for development.

Benefits

Allows organisation to choose issues to prioritise, or particular parts of the organisation
  to be reviewed.
Facilitates the management of change.
Can help organisations to develop faster by enabling continuous improvement in a more
  structured form.
Allows greater interaction between an organisation and it’s Assessor.
Enables more regular feedback on progress against development areas.
Brings the culture of the organisation to the Standard and vice versa.
Enables greater imbedding of the Standard in an organisation.

What does it involve?

A client can sign up to an Annual Review part-way through a 3-year period, but the time allocated between the time of sign-up to the date of their next Review, will be the same as that of the full Review (to allow the Assessor time to gather evidence at each visit). For example: An organisation with 50 employees would require 2.75 days for a full Review. If they signed up with 18 months to go, they could split this time over 3 visits:

Thereafter, the client would get a visit every 12 months.

A client cannot sign up for an Annual Review where their normal 3-year review is due, as the Assessor requires the full-time allocation to collect evidence, where there has been no on-site activity since the previous Assessment. A client can sign up to Annual Review once this full review has taken place.

Organisations must still have a full review every three years, so the final, or third Annual Review will result in a consolidated report showing that the organisation continues to meet the Standard, or otherwise.
