26/01/2007 : Flexcon awarded Investors in People Profile

Glenrothes-based manufacturing company, Flexcon, has achieved the Investors in People Profile and was presented with its prestigious certificate by Peter Russian, chief executive of Investors in People Scotland at ceremony on Friday 26 January 2007.

The company, which specialises in pressure sensitive films commonly used in labelling and packaging and has more than 70 employees, was first awarded the Investors in People Standard in 2003. It is the first private sector company in Fife to have achieved Profile.

Following a recent review from Investors in People Scotland, the organisation was recommended to go through the Profile assessment, which was introduced as an alternative assessment service to the Post Recognition Review. It allows organisations to achieve a more refined analysis of its business, drawing comparisons with peers or competitors.

Peter Russian said:

“This is a fantastic achievement for an organisation of this size. The Profile framework will enable Flexcon to drive further improvement into organisational benefits, not only for its workforce but importantly its bottom line.

“Flexcon should act as an inspiration for other companies in Fife who genuinely believe that people are their greatest assests.”
