Effective Management
What is Effective Management?
Effective Management examines management styles and identifies opportunities for improvement or change to suit your development goals.
The management style that works for you will depend on you, your people's skills and knowledge, available resources, desired results and the task at hand.
What does the Programme provide?
The Improvement Programme works with you to determine management styles that work best for you, your business and your people.
How does it work?
The Effective Management practice is delivered using three key convenient tools:
One-to-one support
An advisor, with expertise in your industry, will get to know you and the people in your business personally to consider how utilising Effective Management styles will help you achieve the desired result as your business grows.
Throughout The Improvement Programme you can arrange up to four visits from your advisor at times that suit you. You can discuss your challenges, ask advice and form your plan in confidence with consistent professional support.
The Effective Management workshop
A one-day workshop is also provided to demonstrate:
| What an effective manager is. | |
| How to continually review the performance of managers. |
It also helps you to:
| Understand the role of the manager. | |
| Have ideas for involving people to gain their belief in management. |
The workshops are successful because they let you switch off from your business so you can think openly, creatively, and strategically about your business. You can network and 'compare notes' with other businesses in your region, which can give you an extra level of peer support.
Online support
You're busy, and we understand that, so we've developed an interactive resource as part of The Improvement Programme to provide unlimited access to information, advice and support. Please visit IIP Interactive.
